The sample uses public product specs and illustrative operating costs. Replace every assumption with your actual receipt, platform fee schedule, packaging, and shipping responsibility.

Estimates depend on the fees and costs you enter. Confirm current platform terms before committing inventory. Sell-through is a planning scenario, not permission to open unfilled product.

The model in plain English

What is a card break?

A seller divides sealed inventory into clearly defined spots. Buyers purchase a spot instead of the whole box, then the seller opens the product live and ships each buyer the cards assigned by the published rules.

01

Buy inventory

The seller buys sealed boxes and records the true all-in cost.

02

Define spots

Each spot is a pack, team, character, number, or another disclosed category.

03

Open live

After the inventory is accounted for, the seller opens it and fulfills each spot.

BreakMargin calculates whether spot revenue covers inventory, fees, fulfillment, supplies, and promotions. It does not replace the rules of the marketplace where the break is sold.

For breakers, by the numbers

Great energy still needs a floor price.

Gross is not profit

Inventory, fees, shipping, supplies, and giveaways all compete for the same spot revenue.

Sell-through is the lever

A profitable full break can become a loss when too many spots remain unsold.
